Peszko & Watson is a full service law firm with offices in Saskatoon and Biggar, Saskatchewan.

Our Legal Team

Jason A. Peszko

Jason is a member of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association and the Saskatoon Criminal Defence Lawyers Association. He articled with William H. Roe and has since remained with the firm expanding his litigation practice to include other services such as real estate law, wills and estates, tax enforcement, municipal law and corporate and commercial law.

Jason also travels regularly to the firm’s branch office at Biggar, Saskatchewan and acts as general counsel to a number of rural municipalities and towns.

Lisa Watson

Lisa was born and raised in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Her undergraduate studies were at the University of Saskatchewan, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Great Distinction. Lisa graduated with Distinction from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in 2009 and joined Roe & Company as an Articling Student. She was admitted to the Law Society of Saskatchewan as a lawyer in 2010 and became a partner with Peszko & Watson in 2015. She presently maintains a general practice with an emphasis on criminal defence.

Lisa is a member of the Saskatoon Criminal Defence Lawyers Association and sits on the Board of Governors for the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. She has presented for the Canadian Bar Association, the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association, and the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan, speaking about criminal law and legal practice issues. She has been nominated on five occasions by Planet S Magazine as Saskatoon’s Best Lawyer, and won the category in 2013. In 2017 Lisa was appointed as a member of the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee for Saskatchewan.

Logan Marchand

Logan graduated from the College of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan in 2014, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Studies. In 2017, he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University’s College of Law where he graduated with distinction and was awarded the Gabe Burkart Memorial Award for academic performance in criminal law. He began working with Peszko & Watson during his final semester as part of the intensive criminal program offering students practical experience in criminal law. Logan joined the firm as an associate after his completing his articles under Lisa Watson in 2018.

Bailee A. Massett

Bailee’s practise focuses on criminal defence, child protection, and adult guardianship and co-decision making. She was called to the Saskatchewan bar in May of 2019. She has appeared as counsel before the Office of Residential Tenancies, Provincial Court for Saskatchewan, and Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan.

Bailee received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law in 2018. Before law school, she studied psychology at the University of Saskatchewan where she was awarded the University of Saskatchewan Academic Achievement Award and the Canadian Federation of University Women Award. While in law school, Bailee joined Peszko & Watson as part of a criminal law intensive program. She has volunteered with Pro-Bono Saskatchewan and Elizabeth Fry Society, working on projects aimed at helping women involved in the criminal justice system. She co-founded the Law Student Parent Scholarship at the College of Law in 2018.

Our Support Staff

Nancy Farenick

Office Administrator

Nancy was born and raised in Asquith, Saskatchewan, where she currently resides. Except for a brief hiatus, Nancy has been with the firm since 1997. She is the firm’s bookkeeper, payroll administrator and office manager. Although her duties are primarily administrative, she has gained experience over the years assisting lawyers in their practice of family law, criminal, corporate and civil law.

Omobolanle (Bola) Abioye

Legal Assistant

Bola was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She studied economics at the University of Saskatchewan where she completed her Bachelors of Art degree. She formerly worked in retail before transitioning to an office environment when she joined Peszko & Watson in April 2018 as a legal assistant. Bola assists our firm with real estate transactions, reception duties and office administration.
